Windows Phone 8.1 teaser on Microsoft website

Microsoft has never officially announced that the next iteration of Windows Phone will be called Windows Phone 8.1, but for some time that’s what everyone has been referring to it as. Any elements of doubt that were still existing have now been erased, as Windows Phone 8.1 has now been teased on the Microsoft website.

The new Windows Phone update will be arriving within the next month or so, and to say it’s not been the most closely guarded secret is a bit of an understatement. There have been countless leaks, among the most recent being a video showing the new camera app of WP 8.1 and the possibility that the upgrade could include USB OTG functionality.

Although nothing about WP 8.1 has been confirmed by Microsoft yet, we feel we can take this reference on Microsoft’s website as at least officially giving us the name. The website shows Windows Phone 8.1 listed alongside Windows Phone 8, although if you click the link on WP 8.1 it currently says “not found,” so there’s no confirmation of the many expected features just yet.

If you want to find out much more about what has been leaked so far, you can check out our previous articles on WP 8.1 here. Are you avidly waiting to see what Windows Phone 8.1 has to offer?
