Even though the company has only just released a new flagship smartphone HTC has been busy over the last few weeks updating last year’s model to a new version of the Android OS, but now an HTC One Android KitKat update problem has been found.
Previously there were some issues with the HTC One and the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update that saw the rollout of the firmware halted in some regions, but now a new issue has emerged for some users that have reported that the stereo audio is not working as it should when capturing video content via the handsets app.
It has been reported that everything works as it should for the first video, but anymore taken afterwards results in only the left audio channel working. The problem is software related as going back to a previous Android build resolves the issue, and it seems that the HTC software with the build number of 4.19.401.11 is the problem.
Users can reboot the handset but obviously after taking the first video the problem reoccurs, but another work around can be used that will see you exit the camera app before opening up Google Now.
Opening up this app has been found to open up the both the microphones again, but of course this will have be done every time you want to record a new video.
