Micromax Canvas Fire 4 priced Rs. 6,999 with Android 5.0

#

We have spent a lot of time talking about slick new flagships over the past few days, but “regular” handsets are still getting released around the globe. The Micromax Canvas Fire 4 is one of them, and it’s coming to India next week for Rs. 6,999.

Micromax has released a number of handsets in 2015, but the Micromax Canvas Fire 4 stands out for a few reasons. The company has added front-facing stereo speakers to the newest Fire, and it sports a digital analogue convertor to help pound out the sounds. It will also come with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed when it arrives at your door, so there’s no need to wait for an update.

The front-facing speakers and Lollipop are a nice way to kick things off with the Micromax Canvas Fire 4, before we break your heart with the specs. The handset has a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 display, and is powered by an unnamed 1.3GHz chip with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. You will find an 8MP sensor on its backside, a 2MP camera on the front, and a 2,000mAh battery under the hood. All the usual connectivity options are present, including Dual-SIM compatibility.

If you are interested in the Micromax Canvas Fire 4, it will be available in India through retail shops and online e-tailers. The smartphone is expected to arrive Monday in Black or Silver with the aforementioned price tag of Rs. 6,999.
