#

Children are more technologically advanced than some adults these days, and there are countless gadgets aimed at children. Micromax is getting in on the game with the newly announced Micromax Canvas Tabby, a kid-friendly slate that is geared for children and adults.

The Micromax Canvas Tabby was announced over the weekend, and today it’s available in India through Flipkart. The slate is a “dual-mode” tablet as well, which means children should be able to tap themselves silly without getting into their parents apps or files. Kids Mode comes with 100 pre-loaded apps and games geared for children 2-8 years old, and parents can limit access as well to keep their kids from getting addicted to the tech.

As for the specs, the Micromax Canvas Tabby is a mid-range slate with a 7-inch 1,024 x 600 TFT panel. It will get its power from a 1.3GHz dual-core Mediatek chip and 1GB of RAM, and you’ll get 32GB of expandable storage to work with. The rear camera is 2MP, while the front-facing camera is a VGA snapper. There is a full range of connectivity options for the Micromax Canvas Tabby as well with Dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G. The slate gets its juice from a 3,200mAh battery, and will run Android 4.4.
