Just as anticipated the Coolpad Note 3 Plus has now launched in India. That means that we finally have news on pricing that we know many readers were waiting for. In our earlier report on the Coolpad Note 3 Plus we could only speculate that the specs would be an improvement over the currently available Note 3. Now all doubt has been removed and these are the official specifications of the Note 3 Plus. It’s equipped with a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor with Mali-T720 MP2 graphics. There’s 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card to 64GB.

Further Coolpad Note 3 Plus specs include a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 that features scratch resistant glass. The dual SIM handset has connectivity options that include 4G LTE (bands TDD B40 2300MHz and FDD B3 1800MHz for India), 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS, and it packs a 3000 mAh battery. The phone carries a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.

The Note 3 Plus runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Cool UI 6.0, and one of the features of the phone is a fingerprint sensor. The handset measures 151.9mm x 77mm x 9.3mm and it weighs 168g. As we noted at the top, the phone will only be sold in India through Amazon. It will be available from May 13th and the Coolpad Note 3 Plus price is Rs. 8,999. This new Coolpad smartphone is offered in Champagne White or Gold color choices.

Checking through the details it appears that the only difference in specifications between the new Note 3 Plus and existing Coolpad Note 3 is an improvement in screen resolution from HD to Full HD. The currently available Note 3 has just had its price reduced to Rs. 8,499, so only you can decide if it’s worth the extra amount for the Plus version of the device.
