Lenovo Vibe C gets listed with entry-level specs and $105 price tag

#

We’ve become a fan of Lenovo’s handsets over the years, even if they aren’t necessarily easy to get in certain parts of the globe. The Lenovo Vibe C looks to be one of the latest smartphones from the company’s Vibe lineup, and it has just appeared online with a low price tag of $105.

For every flagship that hits the streets, there are hundreds of mid-range and entry-level smartphones. Most of them have similar specs under the hood and use the same components, and that’s the case with the Lenovo Vibe C as nothing really stands out. While the budget-friendly smartphone may be a regional release, its price tag could make it one to watch if it ever goes global.

The Lenovo Vibe C is of average size with a 5-inch 720p IPS LCD display and measurements of 143.5mm x 71.8mm x 8.95mm. Beneath the glass beats a quad-core chip of unknown origins and speed, which gets a bit of help from 1GB of RAM.

The internal storage is listed at 8GB, but thankfully expandable up to 32GB through the usual means. Other features to note a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4G LTE which is quite the surprise. A 2,300mAh battery will keep things humming along, and the OS is listed at Android 5.1.1.

There was a time when you couldn’t find a smartphone from a name brand for around $100 bucks, but those days are long gone. The Lenovo Vibe C is far from flagship material, but the fact that it has 4G LTE and a very low price tag should make it an attractive option for some. At the moment, it appears the Lenovo Vibe C is bound for Croatia where it’s shown up at an online retailer although we’ll keep you posted if it lands in more locales.
