Vivo Y55 rolls through TENAA with 2GB of RAM and 4G LTE

#

We haven’t covered anything from Vivo in over a month, but a new handset from the company undergone certification. The Vivo Y55 is a bit closer to being official, and we’re here to tell you what to expect from the smartphone.

Vivo is no stranger to the handset game although their  name doesn’t quite ring out with the same force as a Samsung, Apple or Sony. Their products range widely from entry-level handsets to high-end devices, but the Vivo Y55 falls somewhere in the middle. It’s not one of the beastly mid-rangers we’ve covered so many times this year although it does offer up plenty of pop if the price is right.

The Vivo Y55 is of average size at 147.9mm x 72.9mm x 7.5mm and has as weight of 142grams. The display clocks in at 5.2-inches and sports a resolution of 1,280 x 720, while the chip powering the show is a 1.4GHz octa-core processor. The chip will get a boost from 2GB of RAM, and you will get 16GB of storage out of the box as well.

On the rear of the Vivo Y55, you will find an 8MP snapper with an LED flash. The front-facing camera is listed at 5MP, and there’s the usual dose of software to help you perfect your photos and selfies. In the connectivity department, options include a microSD card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, and 4G LTE. The Dual SIM handset sips its juice from a 2,650mAh battery and runs Android 6.0.

Given the Vivo Y55 specifications, we don’t imagine it’s going to cost an arm and a leg when it drops. Whenever it lands, it will hit China first and be available in Rose Gold and Golden hues.

Would you be interested in the Vivo Y55 if the price is right?
