LG X Power 2, K series 2017 and LG Stylus 3 leak ahead of formal announcement

The LG G5 was the belle of the ball for LG last year, but the K and X series did well amongst their fans. The LG X Power 2 and the 2017 K series lineup have leaked, and we’ve got some details to share ahead of their debut at CES.

CES will be underway before we know it, and VentureBeat is reporting that LG will have plenty of new smartphones to show off. They will introduce four handsets from the K series, with the K3, K4, K8 and the LG K10 2017 edition. The specifications have been leaked to a degree as well, and are not that impressive thus far. The LG K3 2017 specs will include a 5MP/2MP camera combo and a 2,100mAh battery while the display is listed at 4.5-inches. No word on the resolution, but we’re hoping it gets bumped up to 720p.

Up next is the LG K4 2017 with a 4.7-inch panel with an unknown resolution and a 2,500mAh battery. The camera combo has increased a bit on this one as well, with an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. By comparison, the previous model had a 5MP/2MP combo. The LG K8 2017 specs follow that same incremental path with a 5-inch panel 720p display, 13MP/5MP camera combo, 5-inch display and 2,500mAH battery.

Last but not least is the LG K10 2017 which has rear-mounted buttons and 2.5D glass on the front and back. It will have a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 and a 5MP wide-angle front-facing camera. It also has a fingerprint scanner, but the battery size isn’t listed on this one. In a nutshell, it looks like every handset will get a slight bump although the design could change and the processors, RAM and storage could also be improved.

Part of the LG X lineup will make an appearance as well in the LG X Power 2 and the LG X Calibur. The latter will be rugged with the IP68 tag and military-grade durability and sports a 4,100mAh battery. The LG X Power 2 is a phablet with a 5.5-inch 720p display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and a large 4,500mAh battery. The Calibur along with the K3, K4, K8 and K10 will be shown off at MWC.

In addition to that slew of handsets, the LG Stylus 3 will be back in action for 2017. It’s also the beefiest of the bunch thus far with 32GB of RAM, a fingerprint reader, and a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash. The 5MP front-facing camera has a flash as well, while the display puts it in the “Note” class at 5.7-inches. The resolution is unknown but the battery will be 3,200mAh.

Now for the release dates. The LG K 2017 series are set to ship out in mid-January, while the LG Stylus 3 release date will come in February. The LG X Calibur will roll out in the middle of March with the LG X Power 2 bringing up the rear in April.
