Huawei P10 and P10 Plus announced with release date set for March

#

MWC 2017 is officially underway and we are as busy as bees. We have already discussed the new Nokia 3310 and now it’s time to take a look at the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. These have been on our radar for ages, and the wait is worth it if you are in the market for a high-powered smartphone.

If you follow our site, you have probably stumbled across a few articles involving the Huawei P10 or the Huawei P10 Plus. They have been leaking for months, and we assumed we knew damn near everything about the smartphones before today. Well, the rumor mill was right for the most part. While a few rumored features didn’t quite pan out, both the Huawei P10 and the P10 Plus are fine flagships with plenty of power and style.

As the name implies, the Huawei P10 Plus is the larger version of the P10. It will have a 5.5-inch QHD panel with 2.5D curved glass and measures 153.5mm x 74.2mm x 6.98mm with a weight 165grams. It also has a larger battery at 3,750mAh and an additional option with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Both smartphones are powered by a Kirin 960 processor and 4GB of RAM and come with 64GB of storage standard. Other flagship features to note include a fingerprint scanner, 4G VoLTE, NFC, and a Hybrid Dual SIM setup.

The Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus are powerful attractive smartphones, but they also have very nice cameras. The rear snapper is a 20MP (monochrome) + 12MP (RGB) dual camera system with a Leica SUMMARIT 27mm lens and Dual-Tone LED flash. The front-facing snapper is solid as well with an 8MP sensor and Leica lens. The regular Huawei P10 can do everything its big brother can but will have a 5.1-inch FHD display and a 3,200 battery. Both will run Android 7.0 out of the box with Emotion UI 5.1.

Huawei is going to unleash the Huawei P10 and the Huawei P10 Plus in a wide variety of locales including Mexico, Russia, Spain, Poland, Italy and the UK. Oddly enough, the U.S. was not listed among those regions. The handsets will be available in several different hues in March with the Huawei P10 price listed at €649. The Huawei P10 Plus will set you back €699 if you want the 4GB/64GB configuration or €799 for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
