Perfect timing Apple (AAPL), just as Research in Motion (RIM) launch the BlackBerry Storm on Verizon today, Apple release iPhone 2.2 update, the guys at Apple don’t miss a trick, so for those of your deciding whether to change from the iPhone and get the BlackBerry Storm or just download the new iphone 2.2 firmware update, this may help you decide.

So what do you get with the Apple iPhone 2.2 update? Google Street View, walking directions and public transit plus you will now be able to display the address of dropped pins. You will now be able to get podcasts for your Apple iPhone downloading through iTunes applications, Safari has been improved plus the quality of Visual voicemails have been improved.

SO over to the BlackBerry Storm, it’s no secret that this is Research in Motions (RIM) first ever touchscreen smartphone and was released on Vodafone in the UK last week, and today the Storm was launched Stateside on Verizon costing $199 after a mail-in rebate.

The BlackBerry Storm has a unique click touch screen giving you the feeling of actually hitting keyboard keys when you SMS or email, GSM card for the global business traveler, the Storm also gets top scores for email support, (wouldn’t expect anything less from a BlackBerry device). But the BlackBerry Storm has one main negative, it does not have WiFi to many people’s disbelief, come on Research in Motion, what are you playing at.
