First Commercial 4G LTE Network Launched in US by MetroPCS

The way forward in the mobile space is the 4G network, and apparently today the first 4G LTE network was launched by an operator in the United States but not by one of the major US networks.

According to an article over on Softpedia by Ionut Arghire, MetroPCS has launched their commercial 4G lTE service and has also launched a new smartphone to compliment the 4G LTE service and is called the Samsung Craft.

MetroPCS’ new service will initially be available in Las Vegas although should be rolling out to other cities soon. Furthermore MetroPCS has said users wishing to take advantage of the service could benefit from talk, text and 4G web for $55 a month.

Apparently there are two service plans available with MetroPCS that provide talk, text and 4G web, the aforementioned $55 per month option or a $60 per month option while the Samsung Craft is available for $299 after a $50 instant rebate.
