Apple to Release iPhone Update to Fix Time Change Issue

If you own an iPhone you may have noticed there is a problem with the iPhone recognising the time change to daylight saving time, which means the iPhone close was an hour off, and anyone relying on the iPhone alarm was probably somewhat late.

However, according to an article over on Nasdaq by way of the Associated Press, later in the month Apple will release a software update to fix the iPhone time change issue.

Shortly before the change to daylight saving time apparently Apple forewarned of the possible failure of the iPhone to recognise the time change, and apparently Apple says that iOS 4.1 devices are inclined to trigger alarms either before or after the time change.

Therefore apparently Apple has recommended iPhone users turn off their alarms and manually reset them and after yesterday it should be fine to reprogram to repeat once again. So how many of our iPhone toting readers got caught out by the failure of the iPhone to recognise the time switch?
