iPhone 5 Release Early Oct Confirms AT&T VP

Just as quickly as a chameleon changes its colour the rumoured release date for the next generation iPhone release date speculation changes rapidly, almost every day. As I’m sure everyone is aware no one really knows what day the iPhone 5 will actually come out to play, but it appears that after all the guessing and rumour we at least now have a confirmed month.

There has been much debate over when the next iOS smartphone would make an appearance, we suggested month’ s being August, September, October, and beyond, with the favoured rumour being Apple will unveil the iPhone 5 In September and release in October.

The most recent rumour has it that Apple will enable pre-orders for the iPhone 5 at the end of September with a launch on the 7th of October although against this is just speculation and nothing has been confirmed.

However the about could well turn out to be spot in as according to the guys over at the Boy Genius Report, one of their sources of the “high level” kind at AT&T has told them that a vice president with AT&T has confirmed the iPhone 5 will release in “early October.”

Apparently the unnamed AT&T VP told several mangers, “Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly.”

Now obviously the AT&T VP doesn’t actually make mention of the iPhone 5 release day, but his comments do tend to give credence to the rumours we’ve already heard, so it’s looking like the rumour of October the 7th could actually pan out.

Of course early October, could mean any time within the first couple of week s of the month, but if what the AT&T VP said is spot on then we should know by the end of September as if the iPhone 5 is set for that early October release then that pre-ordering date for the device we’ve heard previously should also be true.

So as it stands, AT&T believes the iPhone 5 will release in early October, which means pre-order starts at the end of September, so keep you eyes and ears open before then as Apple should obviously announce pre-ordering just before then, and lets face it, if anyone would have pre-warning of an immanent release of the iPhone 5 it’s going to be the big iPhone carriers.
