New Galaxy S3 raises camera size / 3D stakes

In 2011, South Korean company Samsung was keen to release their new Galaxy S II smartphone. Impressing a wide audience of customers on a global scale, the company is now set to carry on its popularity with the announcement of a new Galaxy S III (S3) with new features.

Starting on February 27th in Barcelona will be the yearly MWC event that will last until March 1st, this is still rumoured to be the time when Samsung will unveil its new Galaxy, although some are still arguing that we may not see the handset until much later this year. Here at Phones Review, we’ve spoken about its possible specs and how other rival phone companies may be slightly worried by the S3’s presence.

In terms of rumoured specs, the new Galaxy is expected to launch with a 4.65-inch Super Amoled Plus HD display, 1.8GHz quad core processor, 2GB of RAM with 64GB of storage, upped 3000mAh battery, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and 4G LTE support. What’s caught our eye since the rumours started, is that of a possible 12MP rear camera with 4000×3000 pixels and 3.2MP to the front, this blasts other rival competition totally out of the water with what seems to be the inclusion of an 8MP seen on many other handsets.

According to nvonews.com, some believe that the new Galaxy S3 will launch as a 3D version with a handset being named the Galaxy S 3D, as to whether this is the case, we will have to wait in anticipation.
