Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 vs Xolo Q3000 spec fight

Over the next few days the market is going to be treated to a number of new handsets being unveiled at the Mobile World Congress event, but there is already a huge choice in front of the consumer so today we are looking at the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 vs. Xolo Q3000 in a spec fight.

Both Samsung and Xolo are constantly introducing new mobile devices to the public and they come in a variety of price and spec levels that seemingly offer something for everyone, and we are now concentrating on the Galaxy Grand 2 and the Xolo Q3000.

Display
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 comes with 5.25-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display at a resolution of 720 x 1280 and 280ppi pixel density, which compares to the Xolo Q3000 that has a 5.7-inch IPS Full HD touchscreen display with 386ppi pixel density.

Processor
Under the hood of the Xolo is the Mediatek MT6589 quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, which compares to the Samsung that uses the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz.

RAM & Storage
On the Xolo Q3000 there is 2GB of RAM with 16GB of on board storage that is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, which compares to the Galaxy Grand 2 that has 1.5GB of RAM with 8GB of storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.

Cameras
The Samsung has an 8-megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus and LED flash which is also capable of 1080p video capture at 30fps, while around the front we have a 1.9-megapixel shooter. The Xolo Q3000 meanwhile has a 13-meagpixel rear facer with LED flash and Full HD video recording at 30fps, while around the front is a 5-megapixel shooter.

Operating System
On the Xolo Q3000 we have the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, while the Samsung is running the 4.3 version of Android Jelly Bean.

Measurements & Battery
The Samsung measures 146.8mm x 75.3mm x 8.9 mm weighing 163 grams with a 2,600 mAh battery, while the Xolo Q3000 comes in at 164.8mm x 81.6mm x 8.9 mm and 201 grams with a 4,000 mAh battery.
