The Lenovo Vibe X2 has been officially launched for India today, a mid to high-end smartphone that could well gather a lot of interest. It has plenty to recommend it and in fact is a little cheaper than we anticipated. We have details of the Lenovo Vibe X2 price for India and an availability date, as this has been confirmed today.

A few days ago we reported that the launch of this phone would take place today and gave some initial specs details. In that article we noted that the Vibe X2 is priced at $399 for some regions, so an expected price for India was around Rs. 24,000. Now the official price has been announced at Rs. 19,999 so potential buyers may find it even more appealing.

Color options are Gold, Dark Gray, Red, or White and the phone will be available from November 10 as an exclusive to Flipkart. A click-on battery extension for the Vibe X2 will also be available at Rs. 2,000. The phone’s design has a gradient tri-layer finish, and those wanting a 4G LTE phone for India’s 4G LTE network will be pleased to hear that the Lenovo Vibe X2 caters for this with TD-LTE Band 40.

The Dual SIM (nano + micro) Lenovo Vibe X2 specs include a 2GHz MediaTek MT6595M octa-core processor, a 5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing unit with wide-angle lens. There’s a 2300 mAh battery and the phone runs the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with the Vibe 2.0 UI.

As well as LTE, further connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The phone measures 140.2mm x 68.6mm x 7.27mm and it weighs in at 120g.
