Ready for the world’s first foldable smartphone? We are right there with you, and the Samsung Project Valley release date is said to be creeping closer. Unfortunately, you’re going to be out of luck if you live in one part of the globe as a new report has just touched on the launch regions for the funky upcoming folder.

Last month, the rumor mill churned out a doozy by telling us that the Samsung Project Valley release date would arrive in January. That was great news to hear if you’ve longed to get your mitts on a foldable smartphone, but we still had more questions than answers. Well, we’ve learned a bit more about the Samsung Project Valley release today as a new report has given us eight regions where the phone will launch initially.

According to SamMobile, the launch regions of the Samsung Project Valley release will include Germany, Italy, South Korea, France, Poland, Ireland, Nordic Countries (NEE) and the UK. Carphone Warehouse was listed as a launch point for UK customers as well, so we at least know one place you’ll be able to get one. Unfortunately, if you reside in the states it appears you’ll be out of luck as the US and Canada were left off the list.

If the Samsung Project Valley release does land in January and the report is legit, we have no doubt Samsung is going to catch some serious flack from consumers in the states. While it’s not uncommon to see an experimental or limited device roll out, it is highly unusual for it to hit so many regions and not the US. Either way, you can rest assure we’ll be on hand to bring you any news regarding the Samsung Project Valley release date.
