VKworld Stone V3 announced as a Rugged Smartphone with a Big Battery

VKworld Stone V3

VKworld is a brand we’ve not touched on too much in the past, but they grabbed our attention last month when we caught wind of the Discovery S2. The VKworld Stone V3 is one of the company’s latest handsets, and we’re here to tell you what to expect from the rugged smartphone.

As you can see from the photos, the VKworld Stone V3 doesn’t look like your typical smartphone. We’ve seen a lot of curved panels and QHD displays this year, and while the V3 doesn’t possess those, it can take a beating. Unfortunately, we don’t have a full rundown of the specifications at this time, but we do have a good idea of how tough it’s going to be.

The VKworld Stone V3 is encased in soft-rubber to help lighten the load if it hits the pavement, and it features “Zero Gap” corners to keep dust and dirt out. The rubberized handset sports a waterproof speaker as well, and all the ports will be covered and safe from the elements. Needless to say, the VKworld Stone V3 also carries the IP67 tag and is said to survive up to 30mins under water. As mentioned, the innards are still unknown to us at this time, but it will have a massive 5,200mAh battery under the hood.

The VKworld Stone V3 is an interesting looking handset that should grab some attention with its rugged build and features like the large battery and built-in flashlight on the top. The pricing and availability are up in the air, but those details will become clearer when the smartphone rolls out later this month.
