The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone originally launched in China and availability has recently spread to further markets. Likewise the Honor 6X from Huawei has also launched for further regions in recent weeks. As both have now been launched in India we’re specifically concentrating on the Redmi Note 4 with Snapdragon 625 processor rather than the MediaTek Helio X20 chipset found in the Chinese model. Processors
The Redmi Note 4 is powered by a 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with Adreno 506 graphics. The Honor 6X has a HiSilicon Kirin 655 octa-core processor (four cores at 2.1GHz and four at 1.7GHz) with Mali-T830MP2 graphics.

Display
Both phones have a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080.

RAM and Internal Storage
The Redmi Note 4 is currently on sale in India in 2 variants. One has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the other has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (both expandable via microSD). A 2GB RAM version is also expected. The Honor 6X has 2 variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (also expandable with microSD card).

Camera Set-up
The Redmi Note 4 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, dual-LED flash, and 1080p video capture. It has a 5-megapixel snapper at the front. Meanwhile the Honor 6X has an interesting dual-camera arrangement at the rear with 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, PDAF, LED flash, and 1080p video capture. It has an 8-megapixel front facing camera.

Battery
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 packs a sizeable 4100 mAh battery while the Honor 6X has a 3340 mAh battery.

Connectivity
Both phones offer 4G VoLTE support with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and microUSB 2.0.

Operating System
The Redmi Note 4 runs the Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8.0. The Honor 6X runs the Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based EMUI 4.1 OS.

Dimensions and Weight
The Xiaomi phone measures 151mm x 76mm x 8.5mm and weighs 165g. The Huawei Honor phone measures 150.9mm x 76.2mm x 8.2mm and weighs 162g.

Price
We’ll outline the pricing for India as both of these smartphones have recently arrived for sale. The current Redmi Note 4 price on Flipkart is Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB RAM variant or Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM version. The Honor 6X will be an exclusive in the country from Amazon priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB RAM model or Rs. 15,999 for the 4GB RAM model. Flash sales begin on February 2.
