Huawei P10 Plus rumored to roll out with 8GB of RAM

How much is too much? That may be a question smartphone fans ask themselves this year. The Huawei P10 Plus could sport 8GB of RAM when it arrives, and it won’t be the only handset to pull off that feat in 2017.

Depending on how long you have been in the game, you may remember a time when 2GB of RAM was considered amazing. It really wasn’t all that long ago but 2017 should be the year we see 8GB of RAM in a flagship. A new rumor suggests Huawei may take that honor first with the Huawei P10 Plus. We have touched on this particular handset a few times in the past with the last rumor involving some curves. Today’s leak comes from a retail listing from Spain sans the photo so you’ll want to take it lightly.

The Huawei P10 Plus is listed as having a 5.5-inch panel with a resolution of QHD. Beneath the glass would be a Kirin 960 processor which will be backed by a whopping 8GB of RAM while the storage is listed at 256GB. Other rumored specs include a 12MP sensor on the rear, an 8MP front-facing camera, and Android 7.0. If you’ve kept up with the previous rumors, you’ll notice a few things don’t quite line up which means this could be a variant or we have numerous typos in this listing.

Thus far, we had just heard there would be a 4GB and 6GB variant but that the storage would indeed be 256GB. The handset is also tipped to have a bit of a curve although how deep of one it will sport remains to be seen. A fingerprint scanner and other flagship features are locks as well, just don’t lock down the amount of RAM or storage just yet. Needless to say, take today’s leak with a dose of salt although this mystery will be solved soon.
