If you have a need to transfer files from an SD card to your iPhone or iPod Touch you can now achieve this with an application supported accessory for the iPhone and iPod Touch called zoomlt which has now been unveiled by zoomMediaPlus reports intomobile.
The transfer is apparently achieved without the need to start iTunes on a PC and zoomlt supports such files as video, music, documents, and photos, so .PDF, .DOC, .XLS and .PPT and the like.
Basically what zoomlt does is enable the iPhone and iPod Touch user to slip a memory card into the zoomlt accessory and they can transfer and share files via Facebook, email, Flikr and other such services or simply copy to the local iPhone memory.
Apparently zoomlt at some point will expand the list of supported files to include streaming of licensed videos, music and other protected content and zoomlt for the iPhone will be available in April commanding a price tag of $59.95.
