iPhone Lags with 4G While Sprint Moves Ahead with HTC EVO 4G

You are probably aware that during CTIA 2010, Sprint unveiled the first 4G smartphone, the Sprint HTC EVO 4G, which was formally known to all as the HTC Supersonic, and will run on the Clearwire WiMAX network. But were does that announcement leave the iPhone and AT&T asks iphone gamer blog.

Well AT&T are still working on filling the gaps in their 3G network so it is unlikely we’ll see an AT&T 4G network anytime soon and probably in a year or two, which means if the iPhone continues to remain with AT&T as its exclusive carrier we won’t see the “iPhone 4G” for a couple of years.

However, if 4G is so much faster than 3G and with the likes of Verizon Wireless rolling out 4G networks and Sprint with their WiMAX and the HTC EVO 4G, can Apple afford to wait to come to 4G?

If Apple continues to stay with AT&T then the iPhone will be seriously behind in the 4G stakes and if that happens then the iPhone may no longer hold the title of king of smartphones which is even more reason to push out the much talked about Verizon iPhone and possibly a Verizon iPhone 4G; what do you think?
