Well here we have both good and bad news for T Mobile customers that have a Motorola Cliq, there has been an update but perhaps not the one we were hoping for.
The good news is that the update which is available now for download for the Motorola Cliq does come with a number of great improvements but the sad news is that it isn’t the Android 2.1 update instead it is version 1.4.8.
Some of the improvements for you to look at though are the ‘end call’ button has been moved which will reduce you accidentally ending a call when you shouldn’t have. Improvements to the battery life and better performance, text messaging especially for longer texts has been improved. Quality for calls has enhanced the audio quality in certain scenarios where users have in the past experienced issues.
There is faster GPS performance, improved caller notification, better audio routing, MotoBlur set up wizard has been improved to make set up easier. There is also the latest versions of Google applications which include updated Google Mobile Services plus much more. No bad really but fingers crossed we won’t have to wait to long for the Android 2.1 update.
