iPhone 4G Verizon for starters but who gets main course?

There is a lot of talk around the subject of Apple and their new iPhone and how they are about to send it to Verizon. Apparently both Verizon and Apple have been working very closely in order for this to happen.

The thing is with the topic of conversation being mainly Apple iPhone and Verizon it seems to be clouding our thoughts with some other factors that are at play here its not about just Verizon and Apple and their future together.

We seem to have forgotten that just because Apple and their iPhone is breaking the exclusivity with AT&T doesn’t mean that Verizon are the only carrier sat at the table so to speak that is capable of dishing up the iPhone. What is stopping Apple from sending the iPhone to other major carriers.

When the agreement has ended with AT&T why should or even why would Apple stop at just offering the new iPhone to Verizon? Just look at other Android powered phones and you’ll notice that offering a system where the phone can be managed on multiple carriers just has to be good for business.

The iPhone can break from the AT&T network due to the CDMA technology, which is used by Verizon Wireless and also Sprint Nextel Corp plus a handful of other operators in places such as Japan and South Korea. So therefore Apple may well be looking at the Verizon network, they may be looking further. We know that Apple are trying to compete with Android powered devices so perhaps Mr Jobs has realised that quite simply more exposure, more carriers makes perfect sense.
