Droid Bionic vs. iPhone 5:

The Motorola Droid Bionic phone is releasing soon (This Summer), and the Apple iPhone 5 expected this October are two really good smartphones that can be pitted together. Obviously we know the specifications and features of the Droid Bionic, and if all the rumoured features on the iPhone 5 do come true then we can see a great battle here.

Both of these smartphones are right up in the hype clouds, and hopefully they can both live up to the hype. Is this going to be the hardest decision customers have ever had to make, see what we think and then please cast your vote below this article.

The iPhone 5 will come with the new iOS 5 operating system with improved notification system, iMessaging, and iCloud integration and much more, at the moment the new iOS 5 is in Beta 3 stages. Obviously the new update will be much better on the iPhone 5 as it will have a few more features.

The Droid Bionic comes will be release with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, some prefer the Android OS and some really love the smooth iOS, we suppose this is all down to personal reference if you are an Android lover or Apple lover really.

If the iPhone 5 release this year with a 4-inch edge-to-edge screen, then it gives it good credit to go up against the Droid Bionic’s 4-3inch display, the iPhone 5 will have yet again Retina display and the Bionic will have TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours Size 540 x 960 pixels. Both handsets will feature Multi-touch input method, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, and Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate and Touch-sensitive controls.

So it seems the iPhone 5 will still have a smaller screen than the Droid Bionic, but this is a good thing really because one the larger screen will drain the battery, and when 4G LTE is fully up and running in your area you will wish you had a smaller screen.

The iPhone 5 will possibly have the same processor as the iPad 2 with an extra 9x boost in graphics and 2x boost in CPU performance according to Gotta Be Mobile, the iPhone will have technology within that will slow the processor down in return reserving battery life, the A5 iPhone processor has a lot of power to give you rich newly developed apps and trust us when we say these apps will be immense. Look at the difference between the iPad 1 and the iPad 2, says it all really doesn’t it.

Ok the Droid Bionic will have gaming apps, but iOS has many more and some say iOS is still ahead in quality. This brings us to something interesting to the table, Android is getting more and more popular each day and Android job trends prove this. If you read our previous article titled “HTML5 / Android Jobs: Trends point to increase”, this reports that Android is up a massive 20% going from 1419 to 1702 jobs.

There are many after market accessories for the iPhone, and when the iPhone 5 releases this year aftermarket accessory retailers will have millions of different products to cater.

The iPhone 5 will be available with many carriers, such as AT&T, Verizon, O2, Orange, Vodafone, possibly Sprint and many more around the world. The Motorola Droid Bionic will only be available to Verizon customers, sorry but the iPhone 5 will get more sales here.

There is no official news of release date, specifications on the iPhone yet, so it is all hear say. If the iPhone 5 gets the speculated features then it will be a hard smartphone to beat in our eyes.
