Deliberating new Galaxy Note 2 photo that impresses

We’ve been bringing readers developments about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 2, a smartphone that’s causing huge waves of anticipation. In the last few days we’ve seen a couple of leaked images claiming to be of the Galaxy Note 2 and now yet another Note 2 photo has cropped up that appears to show a handset designed very much along the lines of the just released Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and is causing much deliberation.

Three days ago we showed you an image of the supposed Galaxy Note 2 that appeared to show a phone very similar to a larger Galaxy S3 (S III). Yesterday confusion was added to the mix when another leaked image arose purporting to be of the display glass of the Galaxy Note 2 came to our attention. The screen on the latter photo seemed to be very different to the previous image and indeed was unlike the Galaxy S3, so food for thought there.

Now another image has come to light, this time courtesy of Know Your Mobile and we’ve posted the photo below for you to see. The site claims the photo has come from a tipster and to be frank if this latest image is the real deal we think a lot of potential customers would be very satisfied. It shows a handset with a stylish silvery edging very reminiscent of the recently launched Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. The same source informed Know Your Mobile that the 5.5-inch display that we are expecting is indeed accurate but did not have further details on what type of display technology is being used although a Super AMOLED display seems likely.

Many of you will already know about an event on August 29 at IFA in Berlin where Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy Note 2. Other rumored specs and features of this beast of a handset include a resolution of 1280 x 720, 1.5GB of RAM, 16/32GB internal storage (expandable with microSD), a 1.5GHZ Exynos quad-core processor, 13-megapixel camera, LTE connectivity, S Pen stylus and more. Although it has not been confirmed, many are hoping that the Galaxy Note 2 will launch running on the newest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

The Galaxy Note 2 is likely to face some tough competition from other upcoming Android phones such as the Motorola Droid RAZR HD and Sony Xperia TX but we have to say that if this latest image is in fact the real deal, then on looks alone it could be a real winner. We can’t wait to find out for sure but either way we don’t have to wait too much longer until everything will be confirmed and made official.

What do you think of this latest supposed image of the Galaxy Note 2? If the genuine article looks like this would you be pleased? Maybe you were hoping that one of the earlier leaked images would more closely resemble the Note 2? Send your comments to let us know.
