Galaxy Note receiving Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update in India

While the Samsung Galaxy Note first introduced itself to the public back in 2011 the device still has a lot to offer owners, and now we have news that the Galaxy Note is now receiving the Android 4.1.2 update in India.

The software first started its journey out to end users back in February and like any new firmware update it sees a staggered release around the world, which is also dependent on the various carriers giving the software the OK.

According to tech2 this is the case in the country and some users are reporting the update is only available via the Samsung KIES desktop application, which means users have to connect the handset to their PCs that can sometimes prove unreliable.

The full changelog is not currently available but the update will bring things such as Google Now, and improvements to the handsets performance thanks to Project Butter. Hopefully the update will include the Samsung Premium Suite of features as this brings some neat options such as Multi-Window among others.

Owners of the Galaxy S3 in the US have so far missed out on this software, but hopefully this won’t be the case in India and the Galaxy Note. The baseband version of the firmware is N7000DDLS6 with the build number being N7000DDLSC.

Have you received the Jelly Bean update yet and did it feature Premium Suite?
