LG G3 release may creep forward

The Android smartphone market is getting more crowded all the time at all spec and price levels, and a number of companies are vying for the top end of the market with flagship handsets. We now have news that the LG G3 release could possibly creep forward due to hints by the company.

Last summer the LG G2 was launched with a release coming in September in certain regions while the UK had to wait until October, but the company has hinted that the LG G3 release date could be brought forward to help the smartphone get a better chance of succeeding in the market.

The company has now told TrustedReviews that they have learnt from previous experience so will release new devices at a time that will provide LG with “clear space to ensure that we have a good opportunity to raise our profile”.

When pushed further LG’s UK Product Marketing Manager, Shaun Musgrave stated that the company’s next flagship smartphone may come to the market earlier. The handset wasn’t mentioned by name but he did mention the G2 while adding that this year LG will try and bring things to the market earlier.

It is not believed to be coming this quarter though despite the Samsung Galaxy S5 now launched with a release on April 11th, and The All New One set for an unveiling on March 25th. So far the company has provided both the LG G2 Mini and G Pro 2, but the LG G3 is rumoured to come with some high end specifications that include a 5.5-inch display at a resolution of 1440 x 2560.

Will you consider the LG G3 if it is released early enough?
