Nokia officially denies Lumia 910

Not too long ago a rumour hit the net waves that a new Windows Phone smartphone from the Nokia camp would see release in the United Kingdom sometime in May ahead of the US release of the Nokia Lumia 900, which is scheduled, for release in June. Well the word now is Nokia is officially denying that the Nokia Lumia 910 exists.

The original Lumia 910 rumour was sparked by Mobile-review chief editor Eldar Murtazin who used his Twitter account to tweet ”Who needs Lumia 900 in June if they want to launch Lumia 910 (12mpx) in may? Europe.”

However according to the guys over at Ubergizmo by way of GSMarena, the head of Imaging Experience of the Nokia Smart Devices division, Damian Dinning ha officially refuted the existence of the Nokia Lumia 910 in answering a fan who ask Dinning to comment on the rumoured 12MP Nokia Lumia 910.

Thus for those Nokia Windows Phone fans out there that were hoping there would be a new Nokia Windows Phone coming out to play packing a 12 megapixel snapper, it looks like your hopes have been well and truly dashed.

With the industries larges mobile event fast approaching, Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, one has to wonder just what old Nokia has up their sleeve for the event if not the Nokia Lumia 910, any guesses?
