Galaxy Note 2 Possible October release

If you are a fan of Samsung’s large display smartphone/tablet hybrid, the Samsung Galaxy Note, which has become quite popular since its release and has sold seven million across the globe, you might like to know that old Sammy has the handset’s successor in the pipeline, and word is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 could possibly see the light of say sometime in October.

According to the guys over at Slash Gear by way of The Verge, a report by MK Business News has it that the Samsung Galaxy Note successor will make its debut in October, in a bid to go head to head against Apple’s newest iOS smartphone, the iPhone 5, although there is no guarantee Apple will deliver the next iPhone in October.

According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Note II will come sporting a larger display than the original and will feature an unbreakable plane (UBP) display that will enable the Galaxy Note 2 to be even thinner than its predecessor, and will pack a Exynos quad core processor.

Furthermore the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will also feature improved battery life along with a 12 megapixel camera, and apparently according to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may not surface carrying that particular moniker, but come out with another name, what that handle might be remains to be seen.

Of course none of the above has been confirmed by Samsung and as such for now should be treated as pure rumour, but as and when we hear more we will of course pass it along.

in USA verizon won’t get it so I had to settle for dual core Samsung S3 but the memory bump to 2 gig is nicer. I really wanted the note size. A tabletesque phone IS the device for me.
