As you probably know, in June the Google guys get together for their annual shindig Google I/O at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, but this year if you haven’t already got your ticket for the event then you are right out of luck, as tickets for Google I/O 2012 are sold out, actually the 5,500 available tickets were snapped up in just 20 minutes.

According to the guys over at Sci-tech Today, if you would like to attend the Google I/O 2012 developer conference, someone is offering a ticket for sale on eBay with a starting bid of a hefty $2500, or if you really, really what to attend you can ‘buy it now’ for only $3900, which is quite a hike up on the usual price for a ticket.

The senior VP of engineering for Google, Vic Gundotra, in a post on Google+ said that although they are overwhelmed at the enthusiasm and interest in Google I/O 2012, they are aware it can be somewhat frustrating and disappointing when an event sells out so quickly.

However, fear not, as Gundotra also stated that Google I/O 2012 would have a live stream with the keynote streamed live along with all key sessions, and all session videos made available within 24-hours, and for those that want to view the live stream you can catch all the action by hitting up Here.

The Google I/O developers conference does have a bit of a reputation for being a quick sell out event, this year taking 20-minutes whilst last year the event sold out in under an hour, however back in 2010, Google I/O took slightly longer to sell out at 50-days, so it would seem the event is becoming more, and more popular.
