Snazzy Pop Video pico projector for iPhone

If you are one of the iOS faithful out there that would like your iPhone to feature a pico projector, you might like to know that there is a snazzy little accessory for the iPhone that will do just that, and that iPhone accessory is called the Pop Video pico projector that features a 30-pin connector so you can dock your iOS smartphone.

According to the guys over at Cnet, the Pop Video pico projector measures 4.4 x 1.8 x 0.6 inches, and weighs in at 97 grams, is compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and 3rd and 4th generation iPod Touch, has a qHD 960 x 540 pixel resolution video output, has a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery with a pay time of up to 2-hours on a full charge, charges via microUSB 1.2 compliant, and takes roughly 4-hours to charge and requires iOS 5 or above.

Apparently when it comes to the light engine in the Pop Video, they use a tech called FLCOS microdisplay tech, which is apparently more energy efficient and cheaper to produce.

However the accessory specs don’t list the brightness of the projector nor does it list what size image the device can project, and although the projection can be displayed on any flat surface inside or out, it is suggested you’ll need to use the device in a darkened area for the best results.

The Pop Video pico projector is also designed to work with an iOS app, which enables you to tweak the projectors settings along with projecting more content straight from your iPhone, and the app is a free download from iTunes.

We also have a quick introduction video for the Pop Video pico projector for your viewing pleasure below, and for those that would like to purchase the iPhone accessory you can do so by hitting up the Pop Video website where it commands a price tag of 99-bucks.
