Yesterday TiVo Inc agreed to provide some aspects of TiVo software services for digital video recorders to users of Research In Motion’s BlackBerry wireless network.

TiVo has not released any financial details on the deal with Canada based BlackBerry smartphone maker Research In Motion.

TiVo gave a statement saying: “Future collaboration between the companies will focus on software applications that further simplify mobile access to video content.”

The initial phase of the TiVo Research In Motion deal is expected to be implemented later this year, and will bring TiVo subscribers who own a BlackBerry to call up TV programming details on their BlackBerry.
