Google guy shows off Android gPhone at presentation

On Tuesday, Google teased the mobile world with a glimpse of its Android operating system running on a mobile phone for the first time in Europe, giving a limited viewing ahead of its close launch.

The mobile phone running the Android appeared to be similar to the HTC Dream. Mike Jennings, a development advocate for Android, produced the phone during a presentation at Google Developer Day.

Google has been somewhat cautious about showing off the Android gPhone, and Jennings confirmed he had only recently received clearance to show it off. And when asked if he could make a call with it he replied “Yeah, I could. I just want to show it off all the time but I can’t.”
