BlackBerry 8900 Javelin as good as Bold or Storm?

Under: BlackBerry, Mobile Phones, News Date: September 23rd, 2008

The guys over at CrackBerry have got hold of a RIM BlackBerry 8900, better known as the BlackBerry Javelin, and no, they didn’t get it off eBay for £17,100, however they did give it a good going over.

There is another non-touch-screen BlackBerry beauty for fans to be equally excited about and that’s the BlackBerry Javelin as not everyone actually likes using a touch-screen.

The BlackBerry 8900 Javelin is a sexy, tight RIM package that is sure to find its way into many a Blackberry fan pocket because of its good hardware, QWERTY keyboard, and white trackball and 128MB onboard memory.

The BlackBerry Javelin is quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE but unfortunately no 3G, 3.2 megapixel camera, OS 4.6.1, featuring Safe Mode start up, glass cover, swappable microSD slot.

I have it and I love it.. The resolution of the display is amazing!!! Better than the Bold, and definitely better than the STORM..

This is definitely the phone for me, I dont like touchscreen and prefer to type on a qwerty!

The features make it so much better than the Bold and Storm as I dont need to pay extra for 3G as it isnt that much better.

I’m still in two minds of what to get. i get one free with work and i get to choose out of all three berries.

i think im gonna go with the javelin, though i generally like the extra gadgets. apparently the bolds battery life is shocking, plus its damn ugly with that plasticy bit on the back.

    Javelin for me i reckon!

i definitely like this phone a lot too. i got it from gsmallover.com..the storm & bold were both quite a bit more expensive so i wasn’t sure if this one was going to be as good as them..but now i really think it is :). i’m glad i chose the 8900.
