Alltel is your typical US carrier and doesn’t release much of any notability with the exception of the Glimmer mobile phone perhaps, and being in fifth place they probably don’t have as much pull as the big guns like Sprint and Verizon Wireless.
But that will all change as soon as Verizon’s acquisition of Alltel goes through, but in the meantime, Alltel is trailing Sprint in its release of the Motorola VE20.
The Motorola VE20 is a flip design mid-range handset incorporating an outer touch-screen, 3.5mm headphone jack and a 2 megapixel camera. Alltel will have the Motorola VE20 available as of Thursday in liquorice and navy for $99.99, and can be pre-ordered now.
