Steve Jobs heart attack rumours sends Apples stocks tumbling

As Apple boss Steve Jobs was reported on a CNN site that he had suffered from a heart attack, the disturbing news sent Apple share crashing down 9 percent, it was later discovered to be a false report but it was to late the damage had been done to the Apple stock.

The report was found on CNN’s site iReport where public are encouraged to report, at first it seemed like a distasteful prank but later it came to light that the securities and Exchange Commission are investigating if it was a attempt of stock manipulation.

It does go to show how Steve Jobs and Apple go hand in hand and how entwined he is with the brand. Once CNN pulled the story the stocks recovered slightly but still ended 3 percent down on Friday.
