As of today a free app at the Apple iTunes App Store is available which enables Apple iPhone and iPod Touch owners to control their Sonos digital audio system through their home WiFi network.

The Sonos Controller for iPhone app provides the Apple iPhone and Apple iPod Touch with virtually the same functions as the Sonos CR100 Controller, but brings direct touch-screen access, and this secondary control option for existing Sonos owners, the Controller App also lowers the effective entry-level price for the Sonos.

Sonos is also updating their firmware to v2.7 and adds Last.fm compatibility, enhanced Pandora support, enhanced Rhapsody support, and RadioTime support.
