Welcome the Dream G2 Android Powered Mobile Smartphone

Under: Google Android, News Date: November 19th, 2008

One can’t say the Google Android T-Mobile G1 is a fashion forward handset, but as retail android handsets go, it’s not too bad especially as its to only available one at present. However, seems like that is soon to change as the Chinese rip-off merchants have been at it again.

Thus enter the G1 rip-off, the Dream G2 from China’s Sciphone. The Dream G2 is android powered and has been promised for release come November 28th, although there’s no word on how much it will cost.

The Dream G2 offers EDGE, WiFi, QVGA display, a 4 megapixel camera with auto-focus, FM radio, 50MB internal memory and microSD expansion along with what Sciphone claim is “the most advanced software ever engineered.”

No physical keyboard and no virtual keyboard either with the Dream G2 with no android software support for a few months yet, which does actually make one ask just how a user inputs text with either keyboard.
