Vodafone Portugal and TomTom have joined forces to provide TomTom High Definition Traffic to Portugal HD Traffic is TomTom’s patented traffic info system which provides accurate, up to date traffic info to drivers, and is expected to launch in Portugal in the 2nd half of 09.
TomTom’s HD Traffic ground-breaking tech uses anonymous, processed traffic information generated via movement patterns of mobile phones in vehicles via the Vodafone Portugal network.
TomTom HD Traffic customers will be able to feel in control of their journey as they will be able to get accurate information regarding delay and arrival times which come with measurements of delays in kilometres and minutes. TomTom HD Traffic is presently live in the UK, France and the Netherlands and before 08 is over will launch in Switzerland and Germany.
