The word is that the Apple iPhone 3G is going to be offered for a low price of $99 with retail giant Wal-mart. Apparently, this $99 Apple iPhone is a 4GB version and on a two year contract.

This however hasn’t yet been confirmed but comes from a tipster who tipped off Boy Genius Report. However it does lead to some speculation, as we all know Apple dropped the 4GB version of the Apple iPhone form their initial line-up and back then it had a price tag of £399.

But if this is true, and it does become available for $99, I think many more will be purchasing an Apple iPhone, especially if they are not too bothered about massive storage. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what develops.
