BlackBerry Curve 8900 vs BlackBerry Bold 9000 compared and pictured

The BlackBerry Curve 8900, and the BlackBerry Bold 9000, two smartphones from Research In Motion, but what is the differences between the two? Well Simon Sage over at Intomobile has a BlackBerry Bold and was handed a dummy BlackBerry Curve 8900, and apart from the comparison in photos he gives his views on the differences.

For example, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is noticeably tighter than the BlackBerry Bold 9000, but the Bold provides more real estate, but the moving of most of the keys to the right-hand side may cause problems for left-handers.

The 8900 has a softer keypad, but not as snappy as previous Curves and the edge keys hug the rim closely and feel more elevated. The 8900 keypad has influences from the Bold as they have slight ridges. And finally he says the BlackBerry Curve 8900 should appeal to those who just don’t trust RIM’s new click touch-screen Storm, and at a price of $179.99 on a 2 year contract.

I wanted to get some interesting comparative information before deciding on which phone to buy as an upgrade for my older Blackberry Curve.

This ridiculous review was an utter waste of time and energy.

Simon Sage really needs to do a little more homework before he decides to publish his drivel online.

I Might aswell have bought them both and then chucked them in the river and realised that mobile phones are taking over the earth, as that would of been more constructive and made more sense than this pathetic excuse for a review!

  3. Cath says:

So.. one is bigger than the other?

I am also trying to decide between the two and was excited when I found this link. I shouldn’t have bothered!

I have had the Blackberry Bold and now I am using the Blackkberry
Curve 8900 and I must say the Curve wins in all ways.
The email is great and getting on to the net I have noticed is a lot faster.
The keyboard is a lot easier to use which the bold annoyed me as beinng a woman withh nails.
The bluetooth people.may find hard to use but only because of the security
But once you understand how to use the bluetooth security, it is so easy.
    Downloading files is so easy.
Wouldn’t change the Blackberry Curve 8900 for any other phone.
I’m happy as it does eveything I need it to do

I found these comments to be hilarious. Yes, of course everyone here is right, this is the worst review ever and they have every right to lay into the author with sarcasm.

These comments are the epitome of Internet win.

  7. Analyst says:

This review was the same as eating cold porriddge. Was it written by Peter kay, Jack dee or Billy Connolly as a clever comedy sketch. Who allowed this person to write a review ?

  8. i’m just entering a comment to see if i can get my name onto the worst internet review that’s ever been posted.

in case you wondered, i think the funniest comment was the first one by James – he said,

“Is this the worst comparison review ever?

Yes. Yes I think it is.”

timing is everything – he said it first! 🙂
