Microsoft teams with Blockbuster to bring video to mobile

Under: News Date: December 5th, 2008

It seems video will be on its way soon to mobile phones via none other than Blockbuster, as they are currently in cohorts with Microsoft with a view to give the mobile phone user their content from wherever they wish, and thus the video rental giant wishes to rely on Microsoft Live Mesh data sync platform.

Keith Morrow, Blckbuster’s CIO says Blockbuster wants to eventually give their customers instant access to any film on any mobile device with a screen and internet connection and would like this technology to reach into airports.

Morrow says that the perfect scenario would use a service that could enable a customer to begin watching a movie on one device, then pause it and transfer to another device and resume watching.
