Google is apparently selling an unlocked T-Mobile G1 which may be of particular interest to developers outside the United Kingdom and the United States. This particular G1 comes direct from Google and is called the Android Dev 1.

The Google Android Dev 1 is an HTC Dream that has ditched the SIM and bootloader lock so it can actually be used with any SIM card and can be used with custom Android OS builds.

The Android Dev 1 costs US$399 and is available to registered Google Android Developers, but becoming a registered Android developer only costs $25.00 so is practically open to everyone. The Android Dev 1 can be ordered in several countries with the same specs as the T-Mobile G1.
