Apple iPhone app downloads reach 500 million

One could say that the Apple iTunes App Store is doing rather well as Apple has announced that a staggering 500 million applications have now been downloaded.

Furthermore, there are now in excess of 15000 applications available for the Apple iPhone and Apple iPod Touch at the iTunes App Store.

As far as I am aware no other applications store has that many, and certainly the Android Market is way behind in the app stakes, but no doubt as time moves on Android app will expand. There’s also RIM and now Palm entering the apps game, but for now one has to say that Apple is way ahead of the game.

Wha a shock. The most popular smart phone in the world has far outpaced anything that anyone could have predicted or imagined. Yet their are still those straining to convince that this is just a fad, or something that doesn’t represent reality. If nothing else, these people are redefining what it’s like to be psychotic.

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion; no one is entitled to his own facts.

Fact is, the iPhone/iPod has very much surpassed anything that anyone ever imagined. Novice software developers are now virtual instant millionaires simply by offering something on the app store.

When I read things about such people, and when I know that this is factual, I very much tire reading things from people who go out of their way to persuade me that this platform is nothing more than a flash in the pan.

So many of you simply need to grow up. And quickly, for your own sake.
