It appears a Google Android based smartphone showed up for sale on Alibaba.com which has raised some speculation by tech websites across the internet as to if this G8000 Android smartphone is actually the Kogan Agora being shifted via Chinese channels.
The Alibaba website has the G8000 apparently running Google Android on sale for $240 US with orders of 100 handsets minimum.
The thing that has techs talking is the G8000’s resemblance to the Kogan Agora is strikingly similar with the exception it is 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE while the Agora is 3G. However, Ruslan Kogan refutes that the G8000 is the Kogan Agora.
