Under: Mobile Phones, Phone Software
Date: February 9th, 2009

Callpod has announced their entry into the arena of the smartphone applications market with their product known as Keeper, which enables a smartphone owner to quickly store sensitive note, lists, passwords and other personal info in a multi-layered encrypted, safe and secure environment.

Callpod Keeper is available on 3 platforms, the Apple iPhone, Google Android and RIM BlackBerry and uses 128-bit military grade AES encryption to make sure that another person can access your data if you lost your mobile handset.

There is apparently a ‘self destruct mode’ which enables the user to erase all information stores on Keeper if your mobile handset is stolen.
