Nokia and T-Mobile partner to deliver joint app store access?

Nokia and T-Mobile have partnered to announce they have both agreed to promote jointly their widget offerings, applications and other content. Customers can now apparently search and download widgets from both Nokia’s Ovi Store and T-Mobile’s widget gallery via T-Mobile’s Web’n’walk widget platform.

Apparently T-Mobile’s Web’n’walk platform will be supported on Nokia Series 40 mobile phones, and the integrated marketplace will become available in the 2nd half of this year.

So, does this now mean those customers with Nokia Series 40 handsets on T-Mobile have access to not one but two app stores? Why have the ability to use both app stores when really only one is needed?
