LG 830 Spyder handsets recalled due to 911 issue

More news on problems with mobile phones this morning, this time there seems to be a problem with the LG 830 Spyder handset as apparently LG has recalled around 30,000 of them.

The reason is apparently the LG 830 Spyder handsets don’t seem to like the US emergency number and have a problem dialling 911. LG issued a product recall stating “difficulty sustaining a connection or have poor voice quality on calls to emergency 911.”

One thing has to be said though, LG are sure on the ball with this as the word is they have only received a single report that this is happening, so credit where its due I say. The LG 830 Spyder versions affected are the T83LGV03 and T83LGV04.
