Is Apple stupid for rejecting Tweetie 1.3?

We’re not too sure who makes the decisions as to what applications make it into the iTunes App Store, but whoever it is needs to take another look at their selection process as the Apple iTunes App Store has rejected Tweeie 1.3 for the Apple iPhone.

The reason? Well apparently it’s because it contains “offensive language” in search results returned from the public Twitter “Trends ranking, somewhat poor and ridiculous excuse isn’t it.

Fart apps galore can find their way into the App Store, but something of actual use is rejected. If Apple is so offended by such things then shouldn’t they also reject Mobile Safari as anyone can surf porn on it. Come on Apple step up to the plate and lose that prudishness.
